What happens in Part 1?
Arrival covers chapters 1–4 — “Cold Open”, “Escape”, “A Connection” and “Searching for Zoe” — across Shorefront District South and an Otherworld hotel. Simon starts on the pier with nothing; the tarp blows off the St. Amelia sign to hand you control, and the Boat Tour Cancelled Notice on the small building to your right is the first of 85 Discoveries-deciding documents. The district map arrives automatically when the red-fog route reaches Town Square.
Before leaving the square, read the “Your Local Services” flyer by the phone booth — it gives 900 (emergency), 010 (operator) and 100, the manual save number, callable at any phone. You’re prompted to save once early on and that first required save is permitted — but a trophy asks that you never call it again for the rest of the run. Rely on autosaves if you’re chasing it; see the trophy roadmap.

How do you escape the hotel?
Chapter 2 shifts you into the town’s Otherworld version — this is where the CRTV is picked up, the device the whole game runs on (full signals guide). Inside the hotel:
| Step | Detail |
|---|---|
| Room Service Card | On the table right after the CRTV — supplies the wheel values |
| CRTV channel 60 | Broadcasts the year — confirms rather than reveals |
| Door wheel | 18 / January / 1996 |
| Behind the wheel | A bathroom: take the Hotel Room Note and the Room 204 Key, then use it on the hotel room door |
| Reception | The Hotel Reception Notice yields the hotel’s number 496 0244 — call it for the all-calls trophy |
Leaving the hotel awards Welcome To St. Amelia. Phone numbers must generally be called as the character who learns them and near where they’re found — same for 496 0496, the Tourist Center number on the map’s edge.
What is the Zoe’s house route?
Chapter 3 (“A Connection”) is the district’s densest pickup cluster:
- Flashlight (no batteries) — drawer left of the organ box. AA batteries are upstairs; combine them — the light is effectively required for dark interiors.
- Power the computer — crouch into the crawlspace (light on), insert the Prepaid Power Card in the panel, press A until the screen reads Card Credit, press B, flip the main switch.
- Read the three emails — “Your Letter” and “Please Report In” are documents; “For Attending…” is a clue.
- Organ Transplant Card — upstairs bathroom floor, one half of the organ box’s answer.
- Open the organ box — kitchen, left
9-5-6right1-3-3; it grants Zoe’s Lanyard. Full steps on the organ box page.
What is the clinic and pharmacy chain?
Use the lanyard on the pad beside the clinic door to get in — not a keypad. Inside:
- Reception keypad (interior door near the entrance):
2896— from the post-it on Dr Stevenson’s computer. The reception phone’s answering machine marks the pharmacy on your map. - Scalpel — Z Ellis’s room, beside the computer. It opens the rusty doors with a hatch — the pharmacy door is the first.
- Resignation Letter — same room, left of the scales. The Resignation trophy completes in this Part.
- Empty IV Bag + IV Fluid — combine and equip: revives Simon once on a fatal hit. Best early survival item in the game, listed with the other key items.
At the pharmacy (scalpel opens the door): tune CRTV channel 30 in the back room — the locker 6539 takes its digit order from that broadcast, not just the posters (details). Inside the locker is the Prescription Dosage Error note. Then Jess’s house supplies the Broken Stethoscope (bedroom, ground floor) and the Lockbox Key for apartment 0/1’s resource container.
How do you finish the Part?
Back at the clinic’s scales (Z Ellis’s room): Broken Stethoscope left, Prescription Dosage Error note middle, Zoe’s Lanyard right. Chapter 4 then sends Simon toward Zoe’s side of the story — Shorefront’s sweep is final once you commit.
