FAQ

Can my PC run Silent Hill: Townfall?
The published minimum is an RTX 2060 Super or RX 6600, a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K, 16GB RAM and Windows 11 — targeting Low at 1080p/30fps. That is a heavier floor than earlier Silent Hill remakes, so check your GPU first.
How much storage does Silent Hill: Townfall need?
75 GB of available space per the Steam listing. The listing does not explicitly require an SSD.
What are Townfall's recommended PC specs?
Windows 11, Ryzen 7 5700X or i7-9700K, 32GB RAM, and an RTX 3080 or RX 7800 XT — the published target is High at 4K/30fps using Balanced DLSS, FSR or TSR upscaling, not native 4K at 60.

What do these specs actually mean?

Two things worth reading past the table for. First, the floor is an RTX-class card — Townfall is built on Unreal Engine, and the published minimum already assumes hardware upscaling-era GPUs; a GTX 1060-era rig will not meet it. Second, “Recommended” is a 30 fps target, not a 60 fps promise: the published figure is High at 4K/30fps with Balanced DLSS, FSR or TSR — so native 4K60 is beyond the listed spec, and 1080p60 sits somewhere between the two columns.

Anything else worth knowing?

  • No SSD mandate — Steam’s storage entry says 75GB without specifying an SSD, though the game’s fog transitions make one advisable in practice.
  • Windows only — no native macOS or Linux support is documented; Steam Deck and laptop GPUs aren’t covered by the published spec, so treat both as unverified rather than supported.
  • Review-build caveat — at least one review system (RTX 4080 Super, Ryzen 9, 64GB) still hit stutter at max settings, eased by lowering fog detail. If you stutter on a strong rig, fog is the first dial to turn.
  • Platform choice — the editions page covers PS5 vs PC content differences; none affect performance targets.
